Berea City Council holds reading for town issues

The council read through several issues that would impact Berea.

On Sept. 18, the Berea City Council had the first reading of an authorization to enter a purchase agreement of property at 27 Henry St. with intentions of expanding the fire station. This location was a single-family home. 

The council did a second reading to authorize an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation to resurface a portion of SR-237, also known in Berea as Prospect Road., from Baker Stret to Church Street. 

On Oct. 2, the council awarded the Cleveland Browns for the 2023 Berea Chamber of Commerce Legacy Award. The council further had the first reading for apply for cooperation agreements with Cuyahoga County for various health expenses.
