Men’s track seeks early season footing

The past couple weeks have been eventful for the men’s indoor track & field team. The Yellow Jackets started off the season Jan. 19 with the OAC North Split at home in the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse. The meet featured Mount Union, John Carroll, Ohio Northern, and Heidelberg.

The men and women’s swimming and diving teams are in the final stretch of their respective seasons. The women’s team started the second half of the season with a third place finish in the Blue Devil invitational, which happens to be their best finish in four years.

BW has been on a roll over the last month. They won big OAC games against Capital, Mount Union, Wilmington, Otterbein, John Carroll, Muskingum, and Heidelberg, though lost to Ohio Northern and Marietta only by a few points each.

Wrestling team’s win streak hits 17

The No.9 ranked Yellow Jackets wrestling team took home four straight wins in the Mount Union duals. The team won 24-16 against No. 6 Messiah, 39-9 against Alma, 45-9 over Greensboro and 43-3 against Wilkes College. These wins pushed the Jackets to 5-0 on the season and kept them ranked in the top 10 of all of Division III.
