Men’s Soccer goes cold after three-game win streak
The Baldwin Wallace University men’s soccer team’s three-game win streak ended on the road last Wed., Sept. 26, in a 6-1 loss to Grove City College (Pa.) in their final non-conference game. Three days later, the Yellow Jackets returned home to George Finnie Stadium where they faced Capital University. The game resulted in a 5-1 loss for the Jackets.
On Oct. 3 the men competed on their home turf for a second time in a row, facing Ohio Northern University. The Jackets ended their two-game losing streak with a 1-0 victory over the Polar Bears, marking their first Ohio Athletic Conference win of the season.
Junior Academic All-OAC forward Joey Geither scored the game winning goal during the final minutes of the game, shattering Ohio Northern’s seven-game win streak.
On Sat. Oct. 6 Baldwin Wallace traveled to Westerville, OH where they faced defending OAC champions Otterbein University. The Yellow Jackets fell to the conference opponent 4-1. The BW men’s soccer team (6-6-1, 1-2 OAC) will face Heidelberg at home for another OAC battle on Wed. Oct. 10.
