Men’s Basketball bouncing back
The Baldwin Wallace University Men’s Basketball Team is looking to duplicate last year’s Ohio Athletic Conference winning campaign. Although the year has not started as strongly as last, the team is still battling to get things right.
The team started the year with two victories but soon found themselves behind the eight ball with a three-game losing streak.
BW would bounce back though, earning nine victories over their next 12 games, before a loss to Muskingum. The team now sits at a 11-8 record, and 7-5 in the OAC, placing them 3rd in the OAC behind Marietta and Mount Union.
Senior forward Alex Nahra has been a bright spot in the offense shooting the ball with accuracy. Alex leads the OAC in field goal percentage at 66.7% with junior forward Drew Sova not far behind him at 59.6%. Drew is averaging 8.1 rebounds per game which puts him at 2nd in the OAC for that statistic. Junior guard Luke Schaefer has also been scoring well, putting a career high 31 points on Muskingum on February 1st. Baldwin Wallace is 11-8 overall on the year and 7-5 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The team has taken a liking to playing at the Lou Higgins Center this year as they are 8-2 while taking on opponents at home. BW looks to improve upon their away record with four out of the final six regular season games being outside of Berea.
