Golf teams split matches
The Baldwin Wallace men and women’s golf the spring portion of their seasons over spring break with matches in Florida.
The men won their only match of the season so far, edging out Thomas More (Ky.) 337-343 in a close contest. Junior Hunter Miller led the Yellow Jackets, as he was the medalist with a round of 82.
Freshman Blake Glista was the runner-up as he fired a round of 83, and Drake Tobias tied for third as he carded a round of 84. Junior Brad Blaine finished eighth as he posted a round of 88.
The women were defeated in their contest against Trine (Id.) by a score of 387-419. They also had a match against Thomas Moore, which was unscored.
Junior Grace Magee led the Yellow Jackets as she fired a round of 100 to place fourth. Sophomore Hannah Durst posted a round of 102 to finish tied for fifth. Graduate student Nikki Gannon tallied a round of 105 to tie for seventh.
