Freshmen fueling swim team’s success
The opening of the BW Men’s Swimming and Diving team has gone, well, swimmingly.
The Yellow Jackets opened the scored section of their season with a team win against Wilmington College.
BW was led by two freshmen, Austin Olsavsky and Immanuel Ayangoke, who won three individual events together, and collected two relay wins bringing their total win count to 9 on the day. Olsavsky had part in three of the wins, and collected his first award as well.
After the Wilmington meet, Olsavsky was named the OAC Swimmer of the Week
The rest of the Yellow Jackets collected four individual wins and had two divers combine for 344.40 points in the competition.
Next on the docket for the Yellow Jackets is the BW Fall Duals, inside of the BW Natatorium on Oct. 25-26.
