On Oct. 3, the 113th session of Student Senate began, with Senate President Brenna Holiday winning another term in her position after running unopposed. The Campus and Enivronmental Affairs Committee said they met Tim Washington, BW’s Safety and Security Supervisor, to further work toward turning the driveway between the Student Activity Center and tennis courts into a one-way.
On Oct. 10, a new student organization, Student Alliance for Neuro Diversity, was approved by the Student Senate. This organization seeks to form a connection and advocacy group with other neurodivergent students.
The Wellness Committee provided updates on the conditions of on-campus washers and dryers. The senators said that both of their contacts reached back, and the laundry machines that were identified have been worked on. Further, berry cups are planned to be in the Union soon, along with a Google form for opinions on other options.
