April Reign 2013 Results: Unprecedented Ties

The 2013 April Reign events took place Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13. The Friday events were an obstacle course and a human pyramid at Finnie Stadium. The Saturday events of tug-of-war and boat races took place at Wallace Lake in the Metroparks. The results are as follows:

For the first time, both the men’s and women’s overall championship awards resulted in ties. Alpha Gamma Delta and Delta Zeta tied for the women’s overall title, with
Alpha Phi as the overall runner-up. Alpha Sigma Phi and Sigma Phi Epsilon tied for the men’s overall
title, with Phi Kappa Tau as the overall runner-up.

In women’s pyramid, Alpha Phi won first place, Delta Zeta came in second and Zeta Tau Alpha placed third.

In women’s obstacle, RECCOS placed first, GDI placed second and Alpha Phi placed third.

In the women’s boat competition, Delta Zeta won first place, Alpha Gamma Delta came in second and Phi Mu placed third.

Women’s tug finished with Alpha Gamma Delta in first place, GDI in second, and Phi Mu in third.

In men’s pyramid, Sigma Phi Epsilon won first place, Phi Kappa Tau came in second and Alpha Sigma Phi placed third.

In the men’s obstacle competition, Alpha Sigma Phi placed first,
CAB placed second and Sigma Phi Epsilon placed third.

In men’s boat, Phi Kappa Tau won first place, Sigma Phi Epsilon came in second and Alpha Sigma Phi placed third.

Men’s tug finished with Alpha Sigma Phi in first place, Sigma Phi Epsilon in second, and Phi Kappa Tau in third.

Phi Mu won the women’s t-shirt award, as well as the women’s sportsmanship award.

Phi Kappa Tau was given the men’s t-shirt award, and Pi Lambda Phi won the men’s sportsmanship award.
