As the Baldwin Wallace University School of Business continues to be recognized with its recent accomplishments, many students want to know what other investments will be made into Kamm Hall, especially with the recent revamping of the Bloomberg research center.
Currently, the Bloomberg research center is used for classes, houses the investment club and is used by students as a study room when not in use.
Dane McNulty, a senior finance and accounting double major and current president of the investment club, has seen the impact of the Bloomberg research center and said that having access to that room has set him “so far ahead,” allowing him to “take [his] analytical thinking about topics learned in class and apply them.”
McNulty emphasized improvements made to the research center because of the recent renovations saying, “They’ve done a great job redesigning it.”
McNulty said adding in the two new TVs on each side of the room was “phenomenal because that allows for professors to make sure everyone is seeing what they’re presenting”.
Despite these improvements at Kamm Hall, McNulty said that the school of business has been “very successful “with the resources they have.
However, MBA [Master of Business Administration] student and faculty advisor Ryan Rivera who graduated with his undergrad at BW said that “there’s definitely room for improvement”.
Rivera, said that by upgrading the Bloomberg research center “they have expanded that experience of making a more approachable room”
“It ends up being that space where you can get into your zone and work,” Rivera said
Jace McNulty, a junior student, Vice President of the investment club and the newly elected President to be, shared a similar opinion.
“It’s honestly been one of the best aspects of my entire time at Baldwin Wallace”. McNulty said.
Even with the upgrades to Kamm, McNulty said that there needs to be more spaces that are dedicated to students and that new updates need to be made in other parts of Kamm as well.
“There just needs more workspace for students,” McNulty said
“It’s basically home, at least to my group of students, and that’s basically the only place we have to work.” McNulty said.
Despite student’s requests for more workspace, McNulty said that “there’s no updates coming to Kamm hall at least not anything major,”
As the small updates continue to have a positive impact on many including Ryan Rivera, he said that “there’s ways to better utilize rooms and the offerings that Kamm have.”
