With Provost Stephen Stahl’s recent retirement, Baldwin Wallace University welcomes Interim Provost Thomas Sutton until the spring of 2026.
Sutton has been at BW for 25 years serving as a political science professor and has previously acted as the interim dean for the Schools of Social Sciences and Humanities and Faculty Senate President.
“[Being provost] involves really supporting experiential education, internship opportunities, rigorous classes that also provide support so that students can succeed, standards for students as well as for faculty that are expected to be met. And we do have that. It’s really a matter of maintaining that,” Sutton said.
