For people who understand golf, you can’t just go to a random course and expect to do as well as where you normally golf.

However, the Yellow Jackets men’s golf team did that all throughout September.

They began their season at the Gatorade Collegiate Classic in Lawrence at Zoar Village Golf Course, winning it for the second straight season. Leading the team was senior All-OAC Jimmy Clark and sophomore Logan Bratsch.

Both of them shot career-lows in the two-day tournament as Clark carded a 2-under 70 on day two, and Bratsch shot a 1-under 71 on day one.

The next weekend, the men traveled to Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance for the Malone Fall Invitational. They placed third, behind by 19 strokes to the winner Liberty University. Leading the team again was Clark, who was named Co-OAC Player of the Week after his performance in the first week. Clark shot a 152, good enough to tie for ninth.

The next tournament was hosted by crosstown rival John Carroll University at the River Greens Golf Course. Bratsch led the team in the 27-hole ‘Rumble on the River’ with a score of 111. In the one-day John DiCillo Invitational, the Yellow Jackets placed fourth. Clark, again led the team tying for eighth with a one-round score of 5-over, 75.

On September 22, BW visited Tannenhauf once again for the Mount Union Invitational, as they tied for second place. On his way to being medalist runner-up, Clark tied his career-low score of 70, leading the Yellow Jackets with a two-day score of 144. Sophomore Dylan Boff also tied his career-low, shooting a 73 on day two.
