Men’s Tennis ending on win streak

The Baldwin Wallace University men’s tennis team is closing in on the conclusion of their 2018-2019 regular season.

Overall, the team has complied an overall record of 15-3 and an OAC mark of 3-2. But, the team has been on a tear as of late, sweeping Muskingum University, Marietta College and Heidelberg University in their last three matches with an overall score of 9-0.

In their Seniors’ Day match with Heidelberg, the duo of senior Matt Harris and senior Dominic Polifrone won the first doubles 8-4. In second doubles, senior Roger Boyer and junior Jake Elbin put together an 8-3 victory. In the last doubles spot, senior Ben Binion and sophomore Michael Benotti walked away with a convincing 8-1 win.

In solos, Polifrone got the Yellow Jackets started with a 6-0, 6-1 win. Harris followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win in the second singles. Elbin, Benotti, Boyer and Collins all walked away with victories in singles action.

After BW wraps up their season at Otterbein April 27, they will compete in the OAC tournament quarterfinals on April 30. The OAC tournament semifinals will be held on May 3 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.
