Four get personal best in Cross Country

The Baldwin Wallace Men’s Cross-Country team wrapped up their October this weekend at the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin University led by four runners completing the race in career-best times. Though the team ended the day with a 23rd place finish out of 29 teams, juniors Spencer Roberts, Jose Reynoso, and Andrew Cupp as well as freshman Zack Justus all finished the day breaking their previous personal records.

Isaac Williams posted the best finish for Baldwin Wallace at 70th place with a time of 25:58:5. Following behind him were Roberts, Reynoso, and Cupp; finishing 76th, 103rd and 121st, respectively. Another career best finish for the Jackets came from Freshmen Zack Justus from Maineville with a time of 27:52:8.

The Women’s Cross-Country squad also participated in the Inter-Regional Rumble, and compiled multiple career bests.

Coming the in Yellow Jackets are ranked #19 nationally and finished 5th out of 32 teams. All-OAC selection Kelly Brennan placed 3rd at the event with a career best time of 21:23:6.

Rounding out the rest of the top five finishes for the Jackets were Aylssa Laughner, Madison Kile, Hastings Marek, and Molina Otte, finishing 17th, 30th, 31st , and 98th, respectively which were all career bests. Kelly Brennan also received her second OAC Runner of the Week award. Looking ahead for the Yellow Jackets squads, on Nov. 2 they travel to Gate Mills Ohio for the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.
